"Melodies" The music soothes My wearied soul. The haunting melody, The mournful words. Some tunes ancient, Others brand new. Melodies like a lover's Warm embrace. Other's like a mother's Kind words. Melodies out of A child's dream. The tempos vary, One's beat fast, The other's slow. Each hitting a Different chord in My heart.

"A Sea Storm" Bitter wind on the shore, With the waves growing higher. Grey waters with white caps, Ships bobbing at anchor. A dark black sky, A sick green on the edge. Sails are furled Hatches are battened down. On deck, the captain stands, Hands gripped on the rails. The rain pours down, A torrential sheet. Lightning cracks and thunder booms. Hail is flung down from the Heavens. Waves wash over the side, The deck is awash in the sea. The ship is tossed, The boom gin is broke. Rigging is snapped, The anchor chain is strained. Down below, the crew sits, Worry etched on their faces. They hear the wood groan, And plug a
